Home
Our Home page is your portal to the optimal in cerebral hygiene. Click on the “Home” link in the Navigation menu atop our left sidebar, or almost anywhere else in our header, and you’ll always be taken Home. The left and right sidebars are static and you can always leap to anywhere on our site, or to sites elsewhere on the web that we recommend, using the links located there. The center column on the Home page is our weblog, updated regularly, displaying posts chronologically, newest always at the top. At the bottom of the Home page you’ll find a Previous button, which will take you further back in time for preceding posts, and once you leave the Home page, you will always find Previous and Next buttons at the bottom of each page to help you navigate.
the Blog
Each individual entry in the weblog is commonly referred to as a “post”. Posts at Transcendental Floss will always indicate first who the author is, and then what Archive category or categories each post will be stored in. (See description of Archives below.) At the bottom of each post are several important links…
Permalinks
Say you are a blogger and you want to link to one of our posts. Well, you wouldn’t want to just link to our Home page, because, since we update our blog regularly, by the time one of your readers clicks on the link you provided, the post you are wanting them to see might have been bumped down the page, causing your readers the trouble of having to scroll down to look for it. So, if you want to link to a specific post, click on either the post title or the small link labeled “Permalink” at the bottom of the post, then copy the URL from the Address field of your browser.
Comments
This is the open forum feature of most weblogs, and here at Transcendental Floss we strongly encourage our readers to submit comments about what we write, to read the comments of others, and to join the discussion. Just click on the Comments link at the bottom of each post, and from there it’s very easy to read the comments and submit your own.
