another day, another democrat

‘Change 3, Status Quo 0′

Mississippi Democrat Travis Childers won a special election to Congress on Tuesday, helping his party to a third victory in recent months for seats long in Republican hands.

Marty Wiseman, a political scientist at Mississippi State University, said if Democrats can carry districts that traditionally have been safe bets for the GOP, “Republican strategists have to be terrified.”

The race has attracted national attention, with Vice President Dick Cheney campaigning for Republican Greg Davis on Monday, and Davis running ads trying to tie Childers to Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

dick cheney campaigned, and his boy still lost? wow, that’s a shocker. i mean, if dick cheney is in your corner, that should pretty well guarantee…personal embarrassment and a big loss.

heck of a job, dick.

p.s. oh, and tying your opponent to barack obama…brilliant strategy. can’t believe that didn’t work out for you. who wants to be associated with the most interesting, inspirational, inclusive candidate in 40 years, after all?

The dems in MS had a great strategy too- and it actually worked. Stir up racial fears among the populace but keep it below the radar of the media. They said Davis wanted to honor the “First Grand Wizard” of the KKK with a statue. Too bad it was totally false. They dropped this grotesque falshood the day before the election outside the reach of the national media.

Click the above link and be ashmed of the the dems in MS. They know the media is liberal, but they didn’t even dare to bet on the media covering for this lie. Congrats on your win based on fear-mongering and lies.

the new york times reported in 2005 that davis “…would be happy to have the Forrest equestrian statue in Southaven.”

the memphis commercial appeal confirmed davis’ interest in having the statues (plural) in his town.

If this was such rock solid fact, why wait until the last minute for the flier? You can side-step all the bias boiling over in the failing and flailing NYT. If it was a true and center stage issue? The local dems wouldn’t even need to tell the story. The national media would have been all over it. The story has huge holes. It has no legs of its own. It stinks of the rot that is old-school southern politics… both sides included in that charge, but this particular sin completely owned by the dems. Jindal hopefully becomes the new model of up-and-up southern pol.
