note to military recruiters: thank you for serving.

now get the hell away from my kids.

i appreciate your service to america. particularly now, when you’re being asked to risk your life by a commander-in-chief who notoriously does not support the troops.

but seriously, stay the hell away from the children.

i know you believe in the honor and nobility of the institutions you serve. time was, i agreed with you. people in my family have served, and i honor them for it. more, i fervently believe in your freedom to tell others about the path you’ve chosen, and its illustrious traditions. but i won’t allow you to encourage my children to serve the lunatic whims of our current government.

in a typically deceitful fashion, the bush administration further corrupted the misnamed “no child left behind” act by including a poison “opt-out” provision. if parents fail to exercise this provision, schools are required to forward student information to the military. remember when “republican” and “conservative” equated to a philosophy of less government intrusion into our lives?

those days are over. now the republican-controlled government is everywhere, often in secret, always looking for new modes of incursion. now, to meet the demands of the administration’s multiple manufactured and self-inflicted international crises, standards for recruits in the armed forces are dropping across the board.

and this is the military you want america’s children to join?

i suspect you mean well, that you believe in the integrity of your mission. but your continued devotion to a corrupt regime is inconceivable. that said, i know you have a job to do, and you’ll do it to the best of your ability. but i’m warning you unequivocally:

stay away from my children.

Oh, please. SO pathetic. traitor to your country.

anyone know who poor will is talking about?

I think he is talking about dubya…

space, I’m afraid that Mr. Wheatt appears to be calling you pathetic and a traitor to your country.

His misjudgment seems to have been caused by the fact that you are still able to use your brain, while his has been switched off.

Who knows, though? Maybe it’s only a short circuit and all America needs is an electrician with a lot of time on his/her hands.

To Will:

Please explain your point. Spaceneedl has taken a significant amount of time and space in this blog to detail his point of view. He uses facts and credible sources and intelligent opinion.

So many blogs meltdown quickly into childish insults and name calling, when an opposing view is presented. But if you have something intelligent to say, then effin say it. Otherwise, keep your dittos to your self.

before i forget…will, it is you who demonstrates ignorance and contempt for the values and traditions of this country. you’re the traitor here, and you don’t even know why.
